A moving and beautiful tribute was shared in memory of the late Queen on Monday 19 September, the day of her funeral, when an image of Her Majesty was projected onto the White Cliffs to commemorate the life of Britain's longest-serving monarch.
The image, showing a black-and-white photographic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, was shared on social media by Eurotunnel le Shuttle. It was projected across the water from Samphire Hoe, a 30-hectare nature reserve and exceptional site for biodiversity, created from chalk marl excavated from the construction of the Channel Tunnel.
A spokesperson for Eurotunnel said: "In memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, may you rest in peace."
