Dating back to 1966, the Lord of Lydden and Sidecar Burn Up has attracted many top riders, such as six-time BSB Champion Shane “Shakey” Byrne and sidecar competitor Tim Reeves, TT winner and eight times World Champion, who is our current Burn Up Champion.

On track during the weekend there will be classes for:

• Open Class 250Gp-1200cc
• Production 400cc including Open 400Gp, MZs and BSA Bantams
• Production Pre 86 600cc including Super Twins and Super Monos
• F1 Sidecars
• F2 Sidecars
• BEARS & Classic Sidecars
• Desmo Ducati Championship
• BSSO ACU British Stock Scooter Championship
• BSSO ACU British Super Scooter Championship
• FAB Racing – Junior Lord of Lydden
• Kent Youth Trials Club display in purpose-built arena

The racing culminates on Sunday afternoon with wheel-to-wheel action as the fastest competitors of the weekend battle it out find this year’s Lord of Lydden and Sidecar Burn Up champion. The BSSO Scooters will also be competing in their championship final with the BSSO ACU British Stock Scooter Championship & BSSO ACU British Super Scooter Championship, along with the amazing FAB racing in their Junior Lord of Lydden competition where riders as young as eight will be racing on their GP50 and GP70SP machines with some lapping at an average speed of 80MPH fighting for the coveted Junior Lord of Lydden title.

Off track, our food outlets will be serving tasty home cooked street food featuring locally sourced ingredients. The marquee bar will also be open during the day where you can chat to many of the previous Lords of Lydden and Sidecar Burn Up winners – and maybe one or two celebrities. On Saturday evening the marquee bar will host the popular party night with live music from 3 Shades of Grey, and on Sunday after the racing, the awards presentation; both events are open to everyone!
