“The Great Auction Houses” by Grant Ford

This lecture looks at the origins and development of London’s great auction houses, studying the notable characters in their histories, exploring the controversies and mapping their growth from small individual enterprises to monolithic international institutions.

The lecture begins at 7pm with refreshments served from 6:30pm.

About Sandwich Arts Society:

We are an expanding society keen to encourage new members. The cost of membership is £50 for the year or £20 for under-25s and includes eleven lectures and our Summer Supper event. Lectures are held on the first Monday of every calendar month in Sandwich Guildhall.
