This small church, set between the house and outbuildings of Knowlton Court, near Goodnestone, is medieval in origin but outwardly Victorian.  Most furnishings seem to date from 1841, but in an older style, manor pews facing each other in the chancel.

William White's 1855 restoration left all this alone.

With two magnificent monuments, including one commemorating the sons-in-law of Sir Cloudesley Shovel and ascribed to Grinling Gibbons, as well as many others to Peytons, D'Aeths, Narboroughs and Speeds, and with fascinating glass by Lavors, Barrand and Westlake.
