Sitting in the shadow of Dover Castle, and beside a bombed Norman church, you will find the award winning White Horse Inn. The Grade 2 listed building dates back to 1365 & we've been serving up ales since 1574. The Horse - as it is known locally - went on to survive both wars unscathed whilst its neighbour, St James Church, was struck during both.
These days, the White Horse is a hive of activity with an eclectic mix of tourists, channel swimmers & locals alike enjoying traditional, home cooked food and sampling premium drinks in a cosy, friendly environment. To the rear of the pub you will find a hidden, suntrap terrace where, during the summer months, you will find local musicians performing amongst the lovingly planted terrace. Consistently awarded high marks on review sites, popular remarks pertain to the friendliness of the staff and quality of the atmosphere. We very much look forward to welcoming you all in.
