Pines Cottage is tucked away in The Pines Garden, in picturesque St Margaret's Bay, near Dover. There is plenty of space for up to 8 guests, with 4 superking-sized ensuite bedrooms, a modern fully equipped kitchen, and lounge/dining area, all on one level. The views of the gardens, woodland and sea are spectacular from the patio and the beach and coastal trails are just on the doorstep.

There is free parking outside the entrance and a private balcony/dining area overlooking the sea and the Pines Garden. Guests can enjoy access to 6 acres of sustainably managed garden and are just a short minute’s walk away from the cosy tearoom.

A sustainable design:

In fitting the cottage, The Bay Trust have introduced and incorporated up-cycled, recycled and reused items and elements in every room. The carpet tiles are made from recycled nylon, waste offcuts, returned carpets and salvaged fishing nets. The hallway barrier mats are made from recycled car tyres, and the living area floor is finished in a ‘lino’ replacement made entirely from natural biodegradable materials: linseed oil, pine tree resin, wood flour, limestone and jute.

The interior walls have been finished with non-toxic magnesium oxide board and solvent-free paint. The cottage has also been fitted with solar panels while all water waste is filtered via a natural reed bed and redistributed to water the plants in garden.
