Updown, the much-lauded restaurant with rooms from Oliver Brown and Ruth Leigh, located in a 17th-Century Grade II-listed farmhouse in Deal, opened for dining and accommodation in 2022.
The beautifully restored farmhouse and grounds are set within seven and a half acres of rolling Kent countryside, just 15 minutes from the popular coastal town of Deal. Seven rooms, including the Gardener's Cottage, reflect the house’s unique character, hidden within its own magical woodland and mature wildflower gardens.
There are four fabulous rooms in the house, two with king size beds and two with super king beds. Gardener’s Cottage is set in the grounds, away from the main house. All rooms are currently available to book Thursday – Sunday inclusive, but can be booked for longer stays on request.
Guests are welcome to order lunch and dinner throughout the property, whether in the farmhouse kitchen, bar or outside on the heated covered terrace watching chefs at work over the wood-fired grill. Breakfast is served in the farmhouse kitchen
